Terms of Service

Effective June 17, 2026 · Version 1.3

These Terms govern your use of the Wallia mobile application (the "App") operated by Jorge Arturo Rangel Luna ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the App you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country if higher) to create an account. By creating an account you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide, for safeguarding your credentials, and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. License to use the App

We grant you a personal, limited, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Apple devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial expense tracking. You may not:

  • Copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App except as permitted by law.
  • Use the App to build a competing product.
  • Use it to process data on behalf of third parties without their consent.
  • Probe, scan, or attempt to bypass the App's security.
  • Use it for any unlawful purpose.
  • Submit content that is illegal, fraudulent, or violates anyone's rights.

4. Your content

You own the financial entries, notes, and other content you put into the App. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit, and display that content solely to operate the App and the features you have enabled (e.g., voice categorization or photo import). We do not use your content for advertising, profile sales, or third-party AI training.

5. Voice and photo AI features — accuracy disclaimer

The voice-entry feature uses platform speech recognition followed by AI categorization by a third-party model (OpenAI) to suggest a category, amount, and account. The photo-import feature sends a bank screenshot you choose to a third-party AI model (OpenAI) to draft transaction entries, including amounts, dates, types, and categories. AI results may be wrong, incomplete, or misclassified — including amounts, dates, income/expense direction, and transfers between your own accounts. Entries extracted by AI are drafts: you are responsible for reviewing, correcting, and selecting them before saving. We are not liable for transactions logged, miscategorized, duplicated, or incorrectly imported as a result of voice input or photo import.

These AI features are subject to fair-use limits to keep the service sustainable: currently up to 50 voice categorizations per day and 30 photo analyses per month. We may change these limits over time. When you reach a limit, the App will let you know and the feature becomes available again after the limit resets.

6. Not financial advice

The App is an informational tool for tracking your own spending and income. Nothing in the App constitutes financial, tax, accounting, investment, or legal advice. Decisions you make based on data displayed in the App are your responsibility. Consult a qualified professional for financial advice.

7. Third-party services

The App uses third-party services (Supabase, OpenAI, RevenueCat, Apple, Google, and email delivery or marketing providers) listed in the Privacy Policy. Those services have their own terms; we are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or actions.

8. Subscriptions and payments

Wallia is offered as an auto-renewing subscription. New users may be offered a free trial; when the trial ends, continued use of the App requires an active paid subscription. Subscriptions are sold as monthly or annual plans through the Apple App Store and are managed using RevenueCat. Prices are shown in the App and on the App Store before you purchase and may vary by region and over time. All billing is handled by Apple under Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA), which applies in addition to these Terms.

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase and at the start of each renewal. If a free trial is offered and you do not cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, it automatically converts to a paid subscription. You can manage your subscription, turn off auto-renewal, or cancel at any time in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies; we cannot process App Store refunds directly.

Deleting your Wallia account does not cancel your subscription. Your subscription is billed and managed by Apple, not by us — deleting your account removes your data from our systems but has no effect on Apple billing. To stop being charged, you must cancel the subscription yourself through your Apple ID subscription settings before the next renewal date.

9. Intellectual property

The App, including its design, code, brand, name "Wallia", and visual identity, is owned by us. These Terms do not transfer any IP rights to you beyond the use license in section 3.

10. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account. Deleting your account does not cancel any active App Store subscription; see Section 8 for how to cancel billing through Apple. We may terminate or suspend your access for material breach of these Terms, abuse, security risk, or extended inactivity, with reasonable notice where practicable. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will survive.

11. Disclaimers

The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI categorization will be correct.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or financial losses arising from your use of the App. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or relating to the App or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) US $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States (México), without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes shall be resolved before the competent courts of Mexico City, except that we both retain the right to seek interim relief in any court of competent jurisdiction. If you are a consumer protected by mandatory local law, nothing here removes the rights you have under that law.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will update the "Effective date" and, for material changes, ask you to re-accept inside the App. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Apple App Store — additional terms

These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and Apple's standard EULA for the Apple App Store, the more user-protective term applies. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

17. Severability

If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in force.
